Tri-Co Launches Regional Expansion Across Southern California
Industry veteran Phil Bannan joins as Regional Manager to lead growth across Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire
San Diego, CA (May 20, 2026) – Tri-Co, a premier commercial flooring contractor serving San Diego for 67 years, today announced an expansion of its operations across Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire. Industry veteran Phil Bannan joins as Regional Manager and will work alongside partners Jason Anderson, Mike Baker, and Miguel Burboa to lead growth across these new markets.
The expansion is a key step in Tri-Co's ambition to become the leading commercial flooring provider in the Southwest.
Bannan brings a decade of experience across Southern California, with deep knowledge of the local markets and commercial flooring industry. His experience includes work at educational facilities, corporate headquarters, and sports and entertainment venues.
“These markets represent some of the largest in the country for commercial flooring, and this expansion is one of the most significant milestones in our Company’s history,” said Miguel Burboa, President of Tri-Co. “We brought Phil on because he's spent the last 10 years earning and building his reputation within this region, and we know he'll uphold the same standard we've set in San Diego.”

Tri-Co Welcomes New CEO, Announces Rebrand to Reflect Expanded Vision and Growth Strategy
The 65-year-old commercial flooring company announces ambition to become the leading surface solutions provider in the Southwest
San Diego, CA (May 28, 2025) – Tri-Co, a trusted commercial flooring contractor serving Southern California for over 65 years, has received a majority investment from San Diego native Miguel Burboa through his investment firm, Fuerte Capital. Burboa has assumed the role of Tri-Co CEO, while industry veterans Mike Baker and Jason Anderson will continue in their existing roles as Vice President of Sales (End User) and Vice President of Sales (GC), respectively.

A San Diego native, Burboa grew up working in the trades, earned a degree from Georgetown University, and spent a decade in private equity and operations. He will now lead Tri-Co into its next phase of growth. This effort includes rebranding the company from Tri-Co Floors to Tri-Co to better reflect its vision for strategic growth, with the ultimate aim of becoming the leading surface solutions provider in the Southwest.
As part of this transformation, Tri-Co has unveiled a new logo, refreshed branding, and a modern website, aligning its visual identity with its forward-thinking approach.
“My grandfather and two partners started Tri-Co in 1959 with a commitment to doing quality work and taking care of customers. Our family and team have maintained this commitment for over six decades earning Tri-Co a reputation for excellence in the industry,” said Jason Anderson, a Tri-Co partner. “Miguel understands the importance of preserving that history and is bringing a renewed energy and strategy to drive Tri-Co forward.”
With over 77 years of combined industry expertise, Baker and Anderson bring deep experience to their roles. Together with Burboa’s leadership and operational background, the team is focused on geographic expansion and investing in people and technology.
